I had my hip replaced eight years ago after more than ten years of joint pain and restricted mobility. I worked with a range of excellent physiotherapists and other health professionals to build strength and mobility post-surgery and within two years I was able to walk on flat ground for twenty miles easily, although the mobility in my replacement joint remained significantly inferior. Six months ago I began working with Craig on hip mobility and strength and the results have surpassed anything I could have hoped for! I’ve increased the range on my hip by about 20 degrees and the strength of my replacement hip more or less matches that of my natural hip. Craig is extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough but what really sets him apart is his refusal to assume that there may be limits to what I can achieve. He instills optimism and hope, which gives momentum to his rehab programmes. Craig is an outstanding sports therapist and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to address an injury or the impact of surgery.

As a power lifter I’ve had my fair share of injuries; from minor tennis elbow through to pulled and torn muscles. The one consistent thing with every injury I’ve had is that Craig can fix it! I find him knowledgeable and efficient and on many occasions he’s got me back into the gym weeks before I thought I would be training again. Because of his own training regime, he knows how awful it is to be out of the gym for weeks on end and will do all he can to get you back training as soon as possible.

I’d developed a problem with my shoulder during training that refused to heal, no matter how much rest I took. In fact, the injury had worsened so much that not only was training my shoulder now impossible but it was causing serious pain during everyday life. My friend sang Craig’s praises after he’d treated his back injury and told me there was no one else I should consider going to for help. I was sceptical of what could be done to help my shoulder and it was so painful and debilitating, I was certain the only option would be surgery! Two weeks later, after one and a half hours of sessions and after employing the quick and simple rehab exercises Craig taught me, I could not believe the results. I literally went from not being able to lift a fork into my mouth to returning to heavy overhead presses completely pain free!

Seeing a Sports Injury specialist was an unlikely and slightly daunting choice to make considering I don’t currently participate in sporting activities – unless you count pressing bridal gowns or perfecting ‘barre chords’ on guitar! However, after more than four weeks in agony with a neck/shoulder/wrist complaint and several expensive visits to a chiropractor resulting in little or no improvement, I was advised by a friend to see Craig. After an initial and thorough consultation during which it struck me that Craig’s knowledge far exceeded those of other specialists I had seen previously, he was able to accurately diagnose the problem. After some manipulation I left the clinic adorned with some effective taping and improvements quickly followed! The following week, Craig prescribed some easy to follow rehab exercises which he patiently demonstrated until he was satisfied I’d carry them out correctly and effectively. Now, after only two sessions with Craig I’m pain free, playing guitar again and as advised, doing simple exercises to build up supporting shoulder muscles to avoid a similar reaction in the future. The clinic’s services aren’t confined just to ‘sporty types’ and I’d have no hesitation in recommending a visit to them in the future.
