Injury Active’s clinic at Lift Off Crossfit, Bishops Stortford will now be run by our new graduate sports therapist, Jessica. As many of you are aware, finding the right therapist to run the clinic on a full time basis has been a very long and “picky” process.
A very warm welcome to Jessica and we look forward to moving forward together!
Jessica has written a short bio below so feel free get to know your therapist!
I am a graduate Sports Therapist and excited to work at Injury Active and ready for the new challenge of learning about CrossFit. This forms a natural progression in my sporting interests and background. It includes participation in gymnastics and dancing, which included competition events, through to Hockey where I am now back playing for Royston Ladies.
I have worked for many teams including Preston North End Ladies football development squad and The Vale of Lune Rugby Club, Lancaster as their Sports Therapist. Another exciting experience I gained was treating the 2013 Fiji rugby league World cup team. I have also been a volunteer Sports Therapist at many events such as Sports Relief at BBC Manchester, Great North Run and the Bolton Marathon.
My current interests, in between work, are hockey, keeping fit, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
My experience as an active sportsperson gives me an insight into injuries, treatments and recovery periods. This with a disciplined approach, derived from dancing, and inquisitive mind helps in the assessment and treatment of injuries.
