Injury Active’s newest member of the team
Naomi Waldock BSc Hons Sports Therapy MSST
Please welcome our latest member of the team based at our Cambridge clinic. Naomi has recently graduated from University and has joined us on a part time basis. I have been treating Naomi since the age of 14 due to injuries sustained in her sport. Who knew that all these years later she would become part of the team! Let’s hear what Naomi has to say:
I am a BSc (Hons) Sports & Exercise Therapy graduate from Leeds Beckett University, achieving a first class honours degree and the Dean’s prize for academic achievement.
My passion and intrigue for sports therapy was sparked whilst competing as a national trampolinist, and experiencing a range of injuries. Ongoing sports therapy treatment and rehabilitation assisted my competition successes – such as becoming British Colleges National Champion in 2014 and Ladies National League Synchronised Champions in 2016.
I have had previous experience working within the university sports injury treatment clinic, where I enjoyed building rapport with a range of people whilst assessing, treating and rehabilitating their injuries. I also thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at St Georges Crypt charity and the Great North Run, providing post event treatment.
My past experiences in sport allows me to empathise with individuals receiving treatment and encourage the importance of rehabilitation adherence. I am looking forward to applying my sports therapy skills at Injury Active and I hope to utilise my enthusiasm and hard-working ethic to continuously develop them further.
