At the Injury Active Clinic we periodically run group workshops to bring a deeper understanding of biomechanics to fitness enthusiasts. Regardless of their experience level, attendees find it highly beneficial to spend quality time exploring movement in a way that leaves them less prone to injury, and enjoying better training results.

I’d been fairly happy with my squat although did have some issues with one knee tracking in. Since completing the clinic, and implementing exercises and cues provided at the session, my squat has improved massively. Coaches have commented on the changes and importantly I now know what I ought to be feeling during the movement. The info sheets which accompanied the session were particularly useful, I have them pinned to my fridge and can often be found practicing ‘the Russian baby maker’ whilst waiting for the kettle to boil! I would highly recommend the Squat Clinic.[/testimonial_item][testimonial_item author=”Sian Down” position=”Crossfitter” title=””]The squat had been one of my biggest weaknesses in the gym for multiple reasons but I have seen such a major improvement in my range of motion and general confidence since taking the squat therapy session with Injury Active. It’s also been noticed by my Crossfit coaches which is awesome! It’s a group session where you learn a lot about the mechanics of the movement but Craig really took the time to assess each person and advise on the individual things we needed to work on. I took a lot from the class and the prescribed mobility is now a regular part of my weekly routine. Can’t recommend it enough![/testimonial_item][testimonial_item author=”Matt Walters” position=”Runner” title=””]I am a keen runner who has been injured more times than I care to remember over the past couple of years. My search for answers led me to discover Craig’s Squat Workshop, which I attended in April. I have known for some time that the probable cause of my running related injuries is down to a total lack of strength training, however, I have always been worried about incorporating squats into my training schedule due to the fear of performing then incorrectly and injure myself further.
The Squat Workshop taught me to perform the correct technique for several squats types as well as to understand how to work on factors that limit the ability to perform the various squats correctly, such as ankle mobility and hip tightness.
As a result of attending the workshop, I am now armed with the knowledge and confidence to be able to incorporate strength training sessions into my weekly training, including both squats and lunges. I am confident that I am well on the path to breaking the continual cycle of training/injury that has plagued me up until now and I feel that my goal of a Good for Age London Marathon qualifying time is now a realistic possibility thanks to Craig’s excellent knowledge and expertise.[/testimonial_item][/testimonial_wrap]
